Hello sir how is tp link w8968 its is a ewan router its has adsl and wan port also..is it worth buying?
Frankly i would not recommend it. If you want a good ADSL + Wifi Router then i would strongly suggest Tenda D303 https://www.akshatblog.com/tenda-d303-adsl-modem-300mbps-wi-fi-router-review/#comments
I would go with you. I feel the same. I brought tenda d303
i am in business of wireless networking so till date what i learnd is tenda is definitely best for price but with being cheap it also has some cons like speed drop.. but bang for buck are tp-link(router only) & next is iball_baton(modem+router)… for access points indoor cisco is byfar best on the list. but for long range outdoor … no 1 can touch tplink in that..
its outdoor cpe i.e access point is a monster in a price of a barbie!
thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Planning to buy a wireless…. can u help decide between Tenda F3 and Netgear JWNR 2010.
Wanna use it in 2 floor home measuring around 57 m2/floor. Looking to install the router on ground floor, so which one of these will provide coverage to top floor
PS: my current router ‘xperio’ given by the isp DEN with internal antenna does give some connectivity on top floor.
Between these two Tenda F3 is the better option and it should do the job quite effectively. By 2 floor you mean (ground floor + top floor) or (ground floor + 1 + 1).
Sir I would like to take a router and between Tenda F3 300Mbps WiFi Router and TP-Link TL-WR841N 300Mbps Wireless N Router which one is good for my home which could cover wifi up to 1000 sq ft??? Any else suggestion would also be helpful…Thanks in advance
I suggest you to go with Tenda F3 WiFi router. It will surely meet your needs.

Hello Satish,

Hello sir, I’m planning to buy a wireless router for my home having DSL internet upto 50mbps. I’m thinking of Tenda F3 or TP-Link tl-wr841n. I could use your suggestions. But the tp link banged my attention with the tp-link tether app which can be used to control the router. Even Tenda has an app but it doesn’t support f3 router. Please suggest.
Hello,
Both these wireless routers have similar kind of performance. TP-Link does come with tether app advantage and some extra features in its firmware. So you can go for TP-Link tl-wr841n without any doubt.
Thank you sir. And what about the range of transmission of both, which is better?
Pretty much the same. Tenda might be a bit ahead.
Thanks ! You’ve helped me a lot😁
Sir, Thanks alot for all the great posts!
One gets immense pleasure and alot about in-use day-to-day gadgets.
Again a biggggg thanks❤️

Dear Akshatji,
Thanks for your valuable info about BSNL compatible routers. Based on this info, I would like to buy Tenda FH330 or TP link’s WR841N 300. Shopkeepers in Vashi also recommend “Dual band” routers like TP link’s ArcherC20 AC750 or C50.
May I know what is additional benefit of a dual band router and if a dual band router is compatible with the BSNL FTTH?
suresh agrawal
The main advantages of dual band routers are that it gives you higher bandwidth / speed and almost No interference because they use both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz band simultaneously. The higher bandwidth or speed can only prove helpful if you have very high internet speed or indulges in high-speed LAN gaming. However they are more expensive but if budget is not an issue then go for dual band router otherwise a good single band router also suffice.
Dear Akshatji,
Many many thanks for your prompt guidance. I presume the TP link’s dual bank router also will be compatible with the MTNL’s FTTH internet line.
Can you kindly confirm.
suresh agrawal
Yes it will work fine with your FTTH connection. Don’t worry !
Hi Akshat,
I’m moving from Airtel Dongle-based internet (router that comes with SIM) to BSNL FTTH broadband. I’ve a 3BHK duplex house (2 BRs on the 1st floor), with 1900 sft area.
Pls suggest if I can go with “Tenda FH330 300M Wireless Router”. My objective is to have good range across the home without any drops.
Mahesh
Tenda FH330 300M would be a perfect choice for you.
Ok, thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
One more qq – One of my friend suggested me to go for “TP-Link Archer C1200 Gigabit Wireless Wi-Fi Router” as this will help migrate to Jio GigaFiber internet, once it’s launched. Can you pls let me know if this will be a good choice for BSNL FTTH?
Mahesh
The main advantage of TP-Link Archer C1200 is that it is a dual band router with 1200Mbps Wi-Fi. You can use it for BSNL FTTH but it is has performance issues.
So, you don’t suggest this is it? Or in other words, which one do you suggest between “TP-Link Archer C1200 Gigabit Wireless Wi-Fi Router” & “Tenda FH330 300M Wireless Router”?
I would stick with Tenda FH330 300M only.
I didn’t see a “Reply” button to the latest thread on Tenda FH330 router hence, starting a new thread but, it’s in continuation to the last communication wherein you mentioned “I would stick with Tenda FH330 300M only.”.
Thanks for your feedback. I did get the Tenda FH330 router but, unable to get the internet through this router (wired or wireless). I’ve given below some detailed steps that I performed. Can you pls let me know what has gone wrong and how to correct the steps so that I get the wireless internet?
BSNL folks did all the initial setup of the modem.
I did the below steps:
1. Connected power supply to modem & router (Tenda FH330)
2. Performed a few steps that I got from BSNL to setup the modem for the 1st time and then tested wired internet (to a laptop) from modem and it’s superfast
3. Connected ethernet cable from modem to WAN port of router
4. Connected another ethernet cable from LAN port of the router to the laptop
5. Opened the URL 192… on the laptop and logged in
6. After logging in, selected PPPOE radio button, entered username/password provided by BSNL & security key and saved these
At this time, I don’t get internet even though it’s a direct wired connection from router to laptop. If I remove the ethernet cable, even the wireless doesn’t get connected.
Is your internet working through modem without router?
Yes, as I mentioned in step 2, internet from modem (without router) is working fine.
IS the setup wizard of router detecting your connection as PPPOE? Try running in DHCP mode.
Dear Akshat, Your article is extensive, all informative about the subject. Your this article educated me on this count. Thank U so much 🙂
Please help me. After reading, just now placed the order for TP link TL WR940N Wireless N450. Is this compatible with Fibro ?! Booked broadband with bsnl fibro cable
Yes it will work with BSNL Fibro.
Thank U so much
WILL D LINK DIR 615 ROUTER WORK WITH BSNLFTTH …. MODEM IS AONT 100C
