Must say a good job with this blog. Further to above comment. I too am looking at a loe budget laptop, for day-to-day usage.
Internet, regualar office apps, remote connectivity, games (nfs type). I wish it should be slender – and light weight. And has a decent speed too.
Though the options are already listed, still please suggest.
Fujitsu fits the bill on specs, but I feel the brand is not well received.

I suggest you to go with Fujitsu. Fujitsu is a big company that is 10 times better than Dell, HP or other. It is not popular in India but in Europe and in Enterprises it is the first choice. I personally own a Fujitsu laptop and it working and performing very well. It is made in Germany which is a mark of high quality while all the other laptops are made in China (i.e. from Dell, HP etc.).
