Final Words about Xiaomi Mi5
At last I would like to say that Mi5 really is a worthy upgrade to Mi4 and is easily one of the best smartphone that you can buy today. It comes loaded with almost features in the book (Infrared Blaster, Fingerprint Sensor, NFC etc.) and has got latest and high end specifications. Also it is very affordable considering its whole package and the technology it offers. The 32GB version of Mi5 cost around Rs. 25000/- and you can buy it from the link given below.
Hi Akshta,
I have reached out to you previously to check between Redmi Note 3 or Lenovo K5Note. Now I have upped my budget and looking at Mi5. At Flipkart it is available at 20k and after cashback at 17k. I have read reviews in other websites/comments in flipkart/amazon that it has issues. Wanted to check with you if at 17k is it a good buy or should I stick with Redmi Note 3 as usage is limited to media consumption, camera, whatsapp etc…Please advise.
Hello Jayanth,
I don’t see any point in getting Mi5. Mi5 lacks FM radio and does not come with microSD card slot. The performance is a bit better but Redmi Note 3 will be more than enough for you and will provide you enough kick and power. So my advise is to stick with Redmi Note 3 only.
Hi Akshit,
Sorry for another question but camera is also an priority to me. I read your review above and as per you Mi5 camera looks much better and have read other reviews and everyone mentioned that the camera is at par with flagship devices. Can you please advise
Mi5 camera is better than Redmi Note 3 and comes with many advanced features like OIS, Sony IMX298 Sensor, Sapphire Lens, DTI Image Enhancement, PDAF Auto Focus etc. So if camera is also your main preference then you might go for Mi5 at 17k as you said.
Thanks for the reply.
