VIP 400R vs VIP 400R Plus vs VIP 400EX SMPS Comparison
VIP is the only Indian computer brand that makes high quality power supplies. I have already covered a review on VIP power supplies earlier in this blog which you can find below.
But here in this article I will talk about and compare the budget level power supplies from VIP. These power supplies comes in the price range of around Rs. 1000/- only. There are three entry level or budget level power supplies from VIP which are being mentioned below.

These all SMPS are just basic power supplies and are only suitable for a PC with basic or average configuration with an entry level graphics card installed in it or not. Conclusion

I have a medium level pc combination with intel core2duo processor & intel original motherboard 2gbddr3 ram,500gb hardisk, no gpu now but may buy later, earliar I was using a forntech450
That started to shutdown after 18months of use , now the pcshop telling me to buy foxinfps800 they say it can power amdfx and decent graphicard as, its has 6pin graphic point, I dont no whether its has 30amp power in 12v+ rail, what should I do? Pls suggest me regarding this, and whether vip400smps avilable in kolkata?

I have about 1500 budget. I had gone to the shop to buy iball500peak but was confused between that and foxin fps800
they were insisting fps800 I dont know how much watage it actualy has , they say its has also 6pin for powering gpu in Rs1000,didn’t buy anyone of those. Does Vip400 has enough amps in 12v+?

foxin FPS500S power supply enough is for q9400 and 750 ti
I don’t think so. It has only 24A on its 12V rail which is not enough.

Circle SMPS are not good and must be avoided. VIP 400R Plus is much better than this.

How much is your budget for the graphics card and all the entry level cards takes power from motherboard as they have lower power requirements and no external power source. If you are looking for a decent graphic card then you may want to change your SMPS to Corsair VS450.

Also there is nothing like that all DDR5 graphics card requires external power from smps. It depends on how powerful the GPU is.

that you recomended on your blog will it work on my pc with vip400rplus.The zotac nvdia gt -710 2gb that you recomended is it better than this gpu Hd,6670? .What is the power requirment of this 2 cards?
HD 6670 may work on VIP 400 R plus but it can be risky. HD 6670 requires more power than GT 710 and its performance is similar to that of GT 710. GT 710 requires a 300W SMPS while a 350W – 400W SMPS is needed for HD 6670. So get GT 710 only.
You can make changes in your blog. in model Artis VIP 400Rplus there are 2 sata connectors not 3. And by the way its written on piece Made in china (not India) and Imported and Marketed by Kunhar Peripherals Pvt Ltd.
may be the newer model has only 2 sata connectors. Yes they are made in China but they are marketed by Indian brand Artis (previously Kunhar) and are made according to their specifications.

Yes it can handle it but still I would advise you to go for at least Corsair VS350 or Corsair VS450 if you plan on using graphics card.

and I bought Foxin smps fps 500s, for few days I’m facing strange problem like Frequent Bluescreen, OS is not loading from DVD during boot (bootload.exe missing). Then restarting the machine for some time os loads from DVD and I have to use startup repair or system restore to boot the PC from HDD, It runs sometime for real long hour or sometimes it freezes or restarts and then I have to choose run pc in normal mode. but whenever I try to boot after a proper shut down the Boot Up problem re surfaced.
What should I do, I’m confused!
I think that Foxin SMPS is the major source of all your problems. They are very bad PSUs and should be avoided. I recommend you to buy Corsair VS450 SMPS. You can also buy it online at http://amzn.to/2afwTD0

My ups beeps whenever I try to run game like far cry 3. old games like nfs-mw run fine. Confused if I need to change my ups or smps.

I have APC 600. The power button becomes red and blinks while beep sound occurs. Happens only when I run high end game..
It is rather strange. I think it has some problem with the circuitry.

The second link has the real image of the SMPS. Under VIP 400R Plus is good choice and please stay away from brands like Foxin.

I would not recommend it because it has way too less current (14A only) on its 12V Rail.

Foxin fps 500s has much better output compared to Circle one. Foxin has 24A on 12V that equals to 288W (12×24) and Circle one has 14A on 12A which equals to 168W. So, Circle one is not even a 200W PSU. Now, you can decide which is better.
Once I visited local computer showroom in recent times… after listening my budget they show me “Clarion JM Ps 920” at 1.1k??
